- Tyler Ganus
“He is a living legend. What he has inside of his heart is a tremendous work ethic. The kid is just unbelievable. He’s such a person you can root for. You kinda tear up when you talk about Tyler Ganus because nobody works as hard as him as I’ve ever coached in my life.”
“One of my favorite people I’ve ever had the chance to coach and just be around in general. Ganus has a rare gift most people don’t. We talk about him all the time as the standard for doing things the right way. No matter what he achieves on the field, his legacy is already secure because of who he is off of it. “One of my favorite people I’ve ever had the chance to coach and just be around in general. Ganus has a rare gift most people don’t. We talk about him all the time as the standard for doing things the right way. No matter what he achieves on the field, his legacy is already secure because of who he is off of it. He could win the Golden Spikes Award, and it still wouldn’t top the kind of person he is.”
“He listens, he asks questions. He’s a really effective leader because he lives it every day. He treats people the right way, has great perspective, and cares about his teammates.”
“He stands for all the right things. He puts his head down, works hard, grits his teeth, and pushes through adversity. He understands he’s not perfect and is always looking for ways to learn and grow. But when he’s in the box, on base, or in the outfield — he carries a confidence and swagger that says he’s going to make a play.”
“He was the blood of our team. Everyone fed off of his confidence and dedication. As a father, the one thing I want for my son–more than anything else–is the ability to stand alone and not be a sheep, even in the toughest times. I want him to have that strength and heart to do it. Tyler’s heart is the size of his whole chest.”
“Tyler sets the standard for those around him. Nothing can get in his way–he knows how to make the most out of any situation. His impact on me is far greater than he knows. Lucky to have crossed paths with him.”
